SAP Committees/Services
Drug-Free Schools Committee
Student Intervention Team-Component of SAP specializing in helping the student overcome problems of use/abuse/dependency of alcohol and other drugs. This team consists of PPS personnel and staff. Parental intervention is made.
Asset Building BHAV Committee (Bullying, Harassment, and Violence Prevention) PPS Screening Committee Social Work and Psychology Services-These services are available in the PPS department to provide support and assistance to students and their families, both regular and special education.
Children of divorce, grief & loss, coping with stress, family substance abuse, adjusting to high schoo, coping with illness, study skills, not on tobacco, social group, I Can group, coping with teen pregnancy/Teen, parenting, learning to live with your parents, and teen discussion.
Student Assistance Program Core Team- A group of 6-7 staff members voluntarily serve on the SAP team. The team meets to discuss concerns about umbrella program. This team attends a three day training. Distribution of Helping Hands Brochures
How to Refer a Student
A referral form should be filled out when there are academic or social concerns about a particular student. Referrals may be submitted anonymously and will be treated confidentially

All departments and school offices have a Student Assistance Program resource Folder containing SAP referral forms and informational brochures
The Referral Process
Through the SAP referral process we seek to identify students with academic and/or social concerns in order to evaluate how the school can best serve them.
