Dear Parents and Citizens,

The enclosed information contains the District #210 report card, which has been compiled on behalf of our district by the Illinois State Board of Education. Lincoln-Way High School is required by law to present this information to district residents and parents.

Please remember as you view this material, that the results are a reflection of the 2005-2006 school year. This information gives District data, as well as test results from Lincoln-Way Central High School and Lincoln-Way East High School.

Student achievement is what our school is all about. We are proud to say our core ACT score increased to 24.1. Our ACT scores place our students in the top 15% of the high schools in the six-county Chicagoland area, while our per-pupil expenditures remain in the bottom five in the same six-county area for high school districts. Lincoln-Way High School student test scores continue to be above state and national averages. Student achievement is our primary concern, and I can assure you that the results of the current research on how students learn best are examined closely by our staff.

I feel good about the material in this document, but there is always room for improvement. We are committed to a learning environment second to none, as well as a staff development program geared toward the improvement of instruction. We are most appreciative of the support shown by the Lincoln-Way community. The level we have achieved would be impossible without the great community effort put forth over these past many years.

Please feel free to call 815/462-2130 at any time with questions regarding this report card. The maximization of your son's or daughter's academic and social growth is our main concern.

Sincerely,

Lawrence A. Wyllie
Superintendent
