The Graduation

| The Ceremony will be held at the Jonas Lashmet Field (LW Central football field) at 7:00 pm. If the ceremony is held inside because of inclement weather, it will be held in the fieldhouse. Graduation Instructions/ Dress for Graduation/ Robe & Ticket Information/Pictures
1. Practice for graduation will be held at 12:15 on Thursday afternoon, June 5th. Please be on time. Room assignments will be posted inside the doors and throughout the building. Go directly to your assigned room. 2. Graduates are not to miss practice. Those who work should make arrangements with their employers well in advance. Graduates who miss practice will not be allowed to take part in the graduation ceremony unless excused prior to practice by Mr. Provis or Dr. Schmitt. Only extenuating circumstances will be taken into consideration. Having to work will not be excused. 3. All bills, obligations, library books due, etc., must be taken care of prior to graduation. Obligation notices will be mailed home. These fines must be paid in the Registrar's Office prior to the graduation ceremony. 4. On Thursday night, graduates are to report to their assigned rooms no later than 6:15 p.m. The ceremony will begin at 7:00 p.m. regardless of inside or outside ceremony. 5.
Dress for graduation night: *Due to the field turf, we are requesting girls NOT wear pointed heal shoes. Caps should be worn flat with the tassel on the left. (Girls should bring pins to hold their collars and caps in place). 6. Graduates not following the above dress requirements will not be allowed to participate in the graduation ceremony. 7. Do not bring cell phones or pagers to graduation. You will not be allowed to take them with you to the ceremony. 8. Line up for the processional will be arranged at the afternoon practice. Please note your place in line to avoid unnecessary delay in getting to the proper place for the graduation processional. 9. Graduates who do not feel they can march in the processional because of a physical problem, should see Mr. Provis or Dr. Schmitt prior to the June 5th rehearsal. Special arrangements will be made for these students. 10.
On graduation night, graduates will receive their diploma covers.
The diploma inserts will be mailed to all graduates after Monday, June
9. If you do not receive your diploma by Friday, June 20, call
the Registrar (815-462-2236) to find out why it was not mailed. GRADUATION ROBE AND TICKET INFORMATION Graduation robes will be distributed during all lunch hours on Friday, May 2. If you did not pick up your robe please come to the main office. Obligations must be paid prior to picking up robes and/or announcements. Each graduate will be issued a maximum of four (4) tickets for graduation. The tickets will be used only for the indoor ceremony in case of rain. Tickets will be distributed with caps and gowns on May 2. There will be enough seating for the outside ceremony so that it will not be necessary to receive tickets. Seating will be provided on the athletic field and bleachers. For your convenience, we have made arrangements with Chappell Studio for a professional photographer to record the moment you are awarded your diploma. You will receive a passport-sized full-color proof in the mail approximately one week after the ceremony. There is no obligation to purchase, and you will have the option of ordering several enlargement packages at very reasonable prices. This service will enable all students to have a photograph of their graduation. Family members and friends are encouraged to remain in their seats and enjoy the ceremony. Personal picture-taking can be done prior to or after the graduation ceremony. Chappell Studio guarantees complete satisfaction with your photograph or you will receive a full refund.
