Lincoln-Way
Central held its candlelight ceremony to induct 196 students into the
prestigious National Honor Society.
“The students to become members each have to demonstrate character, leadership,
service and uphold the high purpose of National Honor Society and to be true
to its high standards,” noted Catherine Sieber, teacher sponsor.
The student members of the National Honor Society each year chose a local citizen
and faculty member to honor for their dedication to the community. Christropher
Ambrosini, community, and Dr. David Baran, were both recognized for all their
service to students and community. Christopher Ambrosini is the president of
the Manhattan Elementary School District 114 Board of Education; while Dr. Baran
teaches physic honors, and Advanced Placement Physicist for Lincoln-Way Central.
“Congratulations to all our fine students. Being a member of the National
Honor Society is a high achievement and they should all be proud of their accomplishment,” stated
Dr. Monica Schmitt, principal of the Lincoln-Way Central.
