The three assignments listed below will prepare you for the PSAE in April of your junior year. Remember the following:

  • The State of Illinois has added a writing component to the PSAE.
  • Students will need to meet or exceed standards in writing, math, science, and reading in order to qualify for the Taste of Success

 

Directions: Click on PSAE Day 1, ACT ON-Line Icon; Use your assigned ID and password to access ACT Online. Your assignment:

  • Create a study path by entering your PLAN scores in the program or by taking the pre-test in English, math, science, reading, and writing.
  • Once you create your study path, the program will assist you with your weaknesses in each of these areas.
  • When you are ready, please take the ACT practice test online; you willl receive a score.
  • Also take the writing test online and the program will also give you a score.

 

Directions: Click on PSAE Day 2 KeyTrain icon; please use your student ID and password (like you log into the school network.)

  • Once you log into the program, click on Assignments.
  • Under Assignments you will see pre-test for "Reading for Informations" and Pre-test for "Applied Mathematics"
  • Take both of those pre-tests online, and you will be placed at a level of ability.
  • To complete the Assignment, you must work through lessons, and pass a test for the "next " level in each of the areas.

  • Your assignment is to prepare for the Day 2 Developed Science test by answering the questions in the pdf file, downloaded from the above button. This does require adobe reader.

How does the school know you have completed these assignments?

We have an "Account Manager" Program that lists every students' name and lists the number of tests and lessons taken in each area. Students who have completed this summer work will be given a driving sticker for the PSAE Days next April.
