are grammar or usage mistakes that call attention to the rule.

run-on sentences they are very hard to read.

commas, that are not necessary.

Verbs
has to agree with their subjects.

avoid awkward or affected alliteration.

Kill
all exclamation points!!!

Don't
use no double negatives.

Be more
or less specific.

The passive
voice is to be ignored.

Never
use a long word when a diminutive one will do.

ever use redundancies.

rhetorical questions?
