College
Application Process
-
Neatly type or print college applications or apply online.
-
Write a check for the application fee if required and staple to application. Do not mail cash.
-
Complete a transcript request form. Attach to application. This gives Lincoln-Way Central High School permission to send your transcript to a college.
-
Bring application and all supporting documents to your counselor. Your counselor will check to be sure that it is ready to be sent before submitting it to the registrar. Make sure application has all required signatures.
-
Applications ready for processing must be brought to PPS a minimum of ten days before the specific college application deadline to ensure that the application is on time.
-
State college application process. Many state college programs fill early and have priority-filing deadline.
-
Individual teacher recommendations requested by a college should be given to teachers accompanied by a stamped, addressed envelope made out to the college or scholarship program. Give teachers at least two weeks’ notice, it is not to your advantage to have recommendations done under time pressure.
-
Students applying online need to follow the above procedure excluding the actual application. Be sure to print out the verification page at the end of the application process and attach to the transcript release form.
