Local Students Earn Eagle Scout Rank

Three seniors from Lincoln-Way 210 and Boy Scout Troop 755 have risen through the scouting ranks together and have recently received the honor of Eagle Scout. Alex Austin and Louden Moran from Lincoln-Way West and Brent Thomson from Lincoln-Way Central came up through cub scouts to boy scouts together and have supported each other in achieving their goal of Eagle Scout, the highest rank attainable in Boy Scouts.

AFJROTC Cadets Selected for Naval Academy Summer STEM Program

Lincoln-Way West Air Force JROTC Freshmen Cadets Margaret and Madison Randle were selected for the 2019 Naval Academy Summer STEM Program in Annapolis, Maryland. Summer STEM is an incredible opportunity which allows students to explore, create, build and expand critical thinking and collaboration skills, all while experiencing world class facilities at one of the country’s top engineering programs. In addition, cadets are offered a chance to become familiar with the exceptional Naval Academy education provided to midshipmen and will be able to interact with other students interested in STEM fields. More than 5,000 students apply for this position, but only 280 are invited to each session.
