The cast and crew are ready to present their spring musical, Mary Poppins to fellow students, parents and community members this weekend after completing hours of practice and a successful dress rehearsal on Wednesday evening.

The dress rehearsal was performed before a large and appreciative audience of senior citizens from the community.

One of the most popular Disney movies of all time is capturing hearts in a whole new way: as a practically perfect musical. The jack-of-all trades Bert, introduces us to England in 1910 and the troubled Banks family. Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. Using a combination of magic and common sense, she must teach the family how to value each other again, stated Tom Venutolo, musical director and choral director for Lincoln-Way West.

Venutolo continues, Mary Poppins takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures, but Jane and Michael arent the only ones she has a profound effect on. Even grown-ups can learn a lesson or two from the nanny who advises that, Anything can happen if you let it.

Tickets are $10 for all ages. Tickets for reserved seating are available online: www.lwwmb.org or order by phone, please call, 815-717-3507. Use checkout code Supercal to waive the service charges.

The musical is presented in the Lincoln-Way West High School Fine Arts Center, 21701 South Gougar Road, New Lenox.
