Thursday, March 26, 2015

Lincoln-Way East students in Mr. Scott Fletchers Human Anatomy and Physiology-Medical class received an early glimpse into medical school last week. Bruce Bever and Brandon Konz, second year medical students from Rosalind Franklin Universitys School of Medicine spoke to students about the road to becoming a doctor.

Our students loved it because they understood the anatomy and physiology included in the discussion, said Fletcher. Its a great opportunity for our students to see how what they are learning in class translates into real-life application in the medical field.

Bever and Konz spoke about applying for medical school, what its like in the beginning and provided students with a sample lecture about Mortons Neuroma.

We were grateful for these guest speakers because it allows our students to continue exploring their career interests and forming their plans for life after Lincoln-Way, Fletcher said.
