Lincoln-Way West to host Winter Baseball Camp

On December 26, 27, and 28 of 2017, Lincoln-Way West High School will host a Baseball Camp for grades 1-8. Participants will practice offensive and defensive skills. Players will practice:

• Offensive philosophy and approach to hitting
• Hitting stations and evaluations
• Infield and throwing drills
• Defensive philosophy and drill stations
Since the first day of camp will be the day after Christmas Day, on Tuesday, December 26, 2017, all grade levels will begin at a later time, and start again bright and early beginning Wednesday, December 27 through Thursday, December 28, 2017.
Grades 1-4 will practice from 11 a.m. through 1 p.m. and return at 8:30 a.m. through 10:30 a.m. the following two days of camp. Grades 5-8 will practice from 3:30 p.m. through 5:30 p.m. and return at 1 p.m. through 3 p.m. the following two days of camp.

Separate pitching and catching camps will take place for grades 1-8 between 1:30 p.m. through 3 p.m. on Tuesday, December 26, 2017, and begin again for the final two days of camp between 11 a.m. through 12:30 p.m. These camps will teach the following skills to all participants in grades 1-8:

• Pitching philosophy and mechanics breakdown
• Pitching drill stations and evaluation
• Catching fundamentals and drill work
