Lincoln-Way Update June 24, 2020Wednesday, June 24, 2020
Yesterday, Governor Pritzker and the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) released Starting the 2020-2021 School Year Part 3- Transition Joint Guidance, which allows schools to return in-person this fall.
The Lincoln-Way Reopening Task Force committee will take the next few weeks to review these updated guidelines and continue to develop the plan to educate students in a safe and productive environment.
Part of this plan includes remediation to ensure our students are prepared to reach the goals of their 2020-2021 courses. This remediation plan is complete and will take effect at the appropriate place and time in the 2020-21 school year per course group/department determination.
ISBE guidelines also require school districts to adopt a Remote Learning Plan. The Lincoln-Way 210 Remote Learning Plan was initially approved by the Board of Education and the State of Illinois in March of 2020. This plan will continue to be modified based on the most recent guidance from ISBE.
Our focus remains on the health and safety of our students while providing a productive and engaging learning environment. We will communicate to families as plans are finalized, and we move towards the return to school this fall.
Thank you again for your patience and support.
