Lincoln-Way West Poms Offers Dance Clinic
Tuesday, July 21, 2015

The Lincoln-Way West Poms will host its 2015 Dance Clinic on Monday, August 17, from 5 to 7 p.m. for kindergarten through sixth grade students at the Lincoln-Way West cafeteria. Dance clinic participants will perform with the Varsity and Sophomore Poms at Community Night on Friday, August 21 at 6:00 p.m. at the West High School Stadium.

This is a great way to keep young students active during the summer and to help spark an interest in dance, said Melissa Sweeney, West Varsity Poms coach. Students will learn a fun dance routine, play games, and practice basic dance skills.

Participants are asked to arrive at 4:45 p.m. on August 17 for registration and parents are asked to return at 6:45 p.m. to receive additional information and to see what their child has learned.

The Dance Clinic costs $30 which includes the two-hour clinic, a snack and a Lincoln-Way West Poms t-shirt. The registration deadline is August 1. Please contact Melissa Sweeney at msweeney @ lw210.org with any questions and for a copy of the registration sheet. Registration received after August 1 is not guaranteed a t-shirt.

The Dance Clinic will be held in the cafeteria at Lincoln-Way West High School, 21701 S. Gougar, New Lenox. Please enter through the main entrance and look for signs.

Participants should wear comfortable clothing and gym shoes. For the performance girls will wear their new t-shirt and black shorts or pants depending on the weather.
