Tuesday, October 13, 2015

The Lincoln-Way East Theater Company will present the classic story of Charlottes Web on Thursday, October 22 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, October 24 at 2 p.m. at the schools Fine Arts Center.

Community members are invited to attend the family-friendly production and tickets may be purchased for $5 at the door.

I am so proud of our students for the time and energy they have invested over the past five weeks to put together a great production of Charlottes Web for our community, said Elizabeth Swaney, the shows director.

The cast includes 15 students as well as 15 crew members, most of whom will play extra roles during the performance.

Based on the book by E.B. White and the production adapted by Joseph Robinette, Charlottes Web appeals to all ages.

The production tells the story of a runt pig named Wilbur, a young girl named Fern who is attempting to save Wilbur from the butcher and an extraordinary spider named Charlotte who helps Fern and the farm animals develop a plot to save Wilbur.
