Students will keep the audience laughing with this fun adaptation and interpretation of modern day reality television.

I am so proud of the hard work and enthusiasm that our students are bringing to this years fall play, said Jennifer Reusz, drama director and math teacher at Lincoln-Way North. We are hopeful that the productions references to shows like American Idol and The Bachelor will generate interest and excitement among our high school students.

The performance tells the story of King Evian whose dying words grant his royal succession to a hillbilly named Yokel who needs a wife to assist in running the kingdom. Five eligible young ladies compete for the kings love with American Idol and Survivor type challenges. The audience will be entertained as Yokel faces a series of problems in saving his kingdom from ruin and finding true love in the process.

Tickets are $5 at the door.

Student directors leading a cast of 20 students are Amanda Pohrte and Kaleb Hong. The charming and talented cast includes seniors Vicky Nyder, Tierra Gray and Katie Weaver.

Our stage manager is putting together an impressive set and our students are eager to put on an excellent play that will provide a fun night of laughter for their classmates and community members to enjoy, said Reusz.

Seniors are invited to attend for free at the Thursday night performance.
