Tuesday, October 20, 2015

Lincoln-Way Central and Lincoln-Way West students joined together at Gattos Restaurant in New Lenox last week to learn about business etiquette and put their newly-learned skills into practice.

Students who participated are members of their schools Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) organization.

Restaurant owner Frank Gatto hosted the dinner, shared his personal story and provided students with important guidance on etiquette for business meetings.

"Our students really enjoyed the experience, said Brian Glynn, FBLA Sponsor at Lincoln-Way West. It is a great opportunity for our students to hear first-hand from someone with the experience that Mr. Gatto has both in the business world and our community.

"I really enjoyed hearing Mr. Gatto's advice and how he never gave up, said West sophomore Danielle Callahan. It was also a nice opportunity to meet some of the FBLA students from Central with similar interests."

Our FBLA students are eager to soak up all they can now about the business world, said Chris Fetherling, FBLA Sponsor at Lincoln-Way Central. Its important that they hear from business owners and professionals so they can continue defining their college and career goals.
