Lincoln-Way West to host Breast Cancer Awareness Soccer Game Thursday, September 22, 2016
On Thursday, September 29, Lincoln-Way West will host Lincoln-Way East in a Breast Cancer Awareness Soccer Game. Junior varsity teams will kick off at 4:30 p.m., followed by the presentation of colors by JROTC. The varsity match will immediately follow.
At halftime, Larry Johnson of Silver Cross Hospital will be presented with the donation from the spring game played by Lincoln-Way West-Lincoln-Way North.
“If you look at how much money has been raised since 2009--between all of our Kick for a Cure and All 4 One events--this game should put District 210 over the $30,000 mark in donations,” says varsity soccer coach, Jeff Theiss.
Raffles, t-shirts, and bracelets will be available. There is no cost to attend, but donations for Silver Cross Hospital Cancer Center are accepted.
