Tuesday, February 14, 2017

On four designated Fridays throughout March and April, the Lincoln-Way East Music Boosters will host their Fish Fry events at Lincoln-Way East High School. The events will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at 201 Colorado Avenue in Frankfort, Illinois. The events will feature live music and a raffle. The dates are:

• March 3, 2017, featuring the Lincoln-Way East Vocal Jazz
• March 10, 2017, featuring the Summit Hill Jazz Band and the Lincoln-Way East Jazz Bands
• March 24, 2017, featuring the Lincoln-Way East Vocal Jazz
• April 7, 2017, featuring the Hickory Creek Jazz Band and the Lincoln-Way East Jazz Bands

“Fish Fry is getting to see the whole community come out for a great meal and live entertainment,” says Lincoln-Way East parent, Beth Steck. “The parents are there along with kids running around and having a blast dancing, and students’ grandparents are tapping their toes! It’s a very lively group socializing for few hours on Friday night.”

The menu includes fried fish, baked potatoes, French fries, coleslaw, apple sauce, grilled cheese, fresh bread, lemonade, and fruit punch. Soft drinks and bake sale items are available for additional purchase.

"I think it is just wonderful that we can carry on this fabulous fundraiser from North,” says Lincoln-Way East Boosters Ways and Means Chair, Kim Hansen. “Nothing is better than good food with good friends and great music from these spectacular kids."

The cost for an adult to attend is $10.00. Tickets for children are $5.00 each. Guests are welcome to dine in or take advantage of the curbside carryout option. All proceeds will benefit the Lincoln-Way East Music Department.
