On Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 7:30 p.m., Maestro Darko Butorac will conduct the Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra (IPO) in a concert at the Lincoln-Way West Performing Arts Center.

As always, Lincoln-Way students are welcome to attend at no cost by presenting a student I.D. at the door. All other students may attend for $5.00. Regular adult tickets may be purchased online at www.ipomusic.org, or at the box office window beginning at 6:00 p.m. on the night of the concert. Tickets can also be purchased in advance by phone until 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 24. Those interested should call 708-481-7774. Ticket prices vary depending on seating, and range from $25.00 - $55.00.

Prior to the performance, Lincoln-Way music students will have the opportunity to learn from Butorac at a “Meet the Maestro” event hosted during school hours.

Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra Executive Director Christina Salerno says, “IPO is thrilled to be able to present a conductor of international stature, Maestro Darko Butorac, as a valuable asset to the students of Lincoln-Way Central High School. Through Maestro Butorac's guidance at the ‘Meet the Maestro’ educational event, students will gain valuable insights into what makes a memorable orchestra performance, even while they expand their own musical interpretations.”
