Lincoln-Way we're all behind you, Charge right down that Field! Loyal to our sons and daughters, we will never yield! With the red and black to lead us, to honor day by day, we will pledge our true allegiance to the Knights of Lincoln-Way

A Lincoln-Way Central Knights drumline alumnus has recently donated $6,000 worth of Zildjian Cymbals to the Central Music department.

Adam Weems, a 1987 Lincoln-Way graduate and a former member of the Knights drumline, is the current Manager of Education for Avedis Zildjian Company, Cymbal Makers Since 1623, in Norwell, Massachusetts.

In a letter addressed to Eric Wellman, Knight band director, Adam wrote:  "Inside these boxes are a number of Zildjian Cymbals that, as a Lincoln-Way Central Marching Knights alumni, I am very happy to be able to donate to the program. As the Manager of Education for the Avedis Zildjian Co. it is part of my job to try to help programs that are deserving and will represent our company only in the best light. I believe that Lincoln-Way Central has been and will continue to be a strong program and only provide the best musical experiences for the students. If it were not for my involvement in that program, I would not be where I am today."

"We are thrilled with this wonderful donation for our music program. Adam was a member of the Knights drumline, when current drum line instructors Keith Tulk and Scott Robinson were also on the Knights drumline. These are top quality instruments and we are very grateful for this generous donation to our music program," said Stacy Williams - Jackson, Music department chair.
