Scholastic Bowl

Scholastic Bowl is an academic organization in which students compete against other schools. Students answer questions about all academic subjects as well as contemporary subjects, such as movies and music. Students compete and answer questions at the freshman/sophomore level as well as the junior/ senior level. All students are welcome to join.

Scholastic Bowl is an IHSA competitive team activity, where two schools faceoff to answer questions involving factual knowledge, quick recall, and sometimes even intuitive guessing. Questions cover a full spectrum of academic subjects and curriculum, and also include contemporary or popular topics such as sports or music.

Lincoln-Way East enters teams at both a Varsity and JV (Fresh-Soph) level during the regular season spanning November to February. There are approximately five Southwest Suburban Conference matches each season on Wednesday evenings. Teams will also compete in 2-3 full day tournaments held on Saturdays. The IHSA State tournament concludes the varsity season in March.
