Responsibilites and Expectations

Academics

  • Academic preparation – 1st responsibility
  • Coaches receive weekly grade reports (eligibility)
  • Honesty
    • Players are expected to be honest with coaches, teammates, parents and school personnel at all times
Attendance

  • Athletes must be present at school in order to practice or play in game
    • Must be present by 4th Hour
  • Athletes must be present at all games and practices (commitment)
    • Excused Absences
      • Doctor Appoitment, Funeral, etc
    • Unexcused Absences
      • Spring Break, etc
      • Athlete will sit one game for every game she misses (someone can replace them and earn that spot while athlete is out)
      • Athlete must practice before she can play in a game
      • 3 unexcused absences will result in removal from the team
Attitude

  • Hard Work = Dedication / Team Above Self
  • 110% Everyday

Practice

  • Be Prepared
  • Closed Practices - coaches and players only
  • On Time
    • Tardiness - 15 minutes before the specified time
Equipment

  • Each athlete will be assigned a day
  • Each player will be responsible for the “upkeep” of the bag they received from the program.
  • Players will practice self-control even in trying situations
    • Ex: No throwing equipment or speaking back to officials
Playing Time

  • No guarantees
  • Player’s attitude, performance, progress, and contribution in games AND practices. We evaluate your athlete objectively – we see them every day at practice.
  • - Playing time is at the discretion of the coaching staff. If there are ever any questions, the athlete should talk to their coach FIRST.

Game Time

  • - Come Prepared – Bring Uniform everyday (practice and game days)
  • Focus on the Game
  • No Communication with Family and/or Friends during games
  • No cell phones out or being used during games or practices
  • Expectations – Coaches will communicate with the umpires, not the athletes, parents, or spectators.
  • Cheering, Positive Attitude
