Understandings

(GR)  Students will understand how to integrate proper grammar in  writing and seek assistance, if necessary.

(Voc)  Students will continue to develop strategies to master vocabulary.

What are the minimal competencies in grammar for all L-W students?
How do grammatical skills reinforce and improve students' writing and speaking?
How do students apply a formalized vocabulary study to their general study of English?

(GR)  refine grammatical skills to improve writing;
continue to enhance sentence combining into improved style.  Continue student accountability for Minimum Competency.

(Voc)  pronunciation, synonyms, antonyms, sentence completions, analogies

Stage 2: Assessment Evidence

(GR)  written assessments and revisions

(Voc)  an objective test every three units and a cumulative final exam
