MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL |
 The East Music Department concluded a very busy and successful holiday concert season. Between the Holiday Concert, the Choral Concert, the Madrigal performances, and the very popular Kaleidoscope concert, hundreds of East musicians showcased their talents. Congratulations to all the talented, musical Griffins.
The Annual Bridge Building contest was bigger and better than ever. Over 120 students designed bridges out of thin sticks, used their knowledge of physics to reinforce the structures, and put them to the test in front of judges. Although many bridges stood the test, the winner of this year’s contest went to Caitlin Duffner who built the 21.39 gram bridge that held 24 kilograms. Congratulations, Caitlin!
Illinois State Scholars are selected by the state as students who excel academically, not only at East, but also on the ACT. This year Lincoln-Way East is proud to announce the following 87 students as Illinois State Scholars:
