L-W West Students' Winning Poetry Accepted for Publication

The poetry written by three Lincoln-Way West students won in a national contest sponsored by Creative Communication: A Celebration of Today's Writers, and was accepted for publication. The students include juniors Emma Ruback, Nick Flamini, and Nicole Layug. Their poems will appear in A Celebration of Poets. Each of the students participate in the Creative Writing Club at Lincoln-Way West sponsored by Mary Hilbert, the school's English Department Chair.[Read More]

The creativity and academic excellence of Lincoln-Way East students in Mr. Chris Olson's sophomore Advanced Placement U.S. History Course was on full display after students completed a 1920's Heroes/Icons Project. Students were tasked with identifying and researching a hero or icon from the 'Roaring Twenties,' and creating a visual biographical collage of their heroes.[Read More]
