"Kick for a Cure" Event has Raised Over $20,000

On Thursday, May 5th at 5:30 PM, Lincoln-Way West will be hosting Lincoln-Way North in the annual "Kick for a Cure" Event. Since 2010, over $20,000 has been raised by all four Lincoln-Way Boys and Girls Soccer Programs; the money has been donated to Silver Cross Cancer Foundation. At halftime on Thursday, a representative for Silver Cross will receive the schools' donation.[Read More]

Lincoln-Way's AP Numbers Skyrocket

With AP testing beginning today, Lincoln-Way teachers and students are wrapping-up their ongoing preparations--preparations that total hundreds of class periods and thousands of hours. Teachers aren't only using class-time to prep, either; many have volunteered before and/or after school to help students study for the exams. Students get their Chance at Seeing a Real Change of Heart

On Wednesday, April 20th, the Lincoln-Way East and Lincoln-Way North Anatomy and Physiology students were invited to The Advocate Heart Institute at Christ Medical Center's "Live from the Heart" program as part of their educational outreach program. Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn is a Level 1 trauma center, has the most comprehensive heart program in Illinois and is a teaching hospital to support future health professionals. Makerspaces Bring Ideas to Life

On Thursday, April 21st, the Lincoln-Way Central Makerspace held a demonstration for students to show the use of a 3D printer. "Makerspace" is relatively new term designated for the area in media centers where students create, invent, and learn within their schools. Activity options range from DIY craft projects to software and electronics. Districts 210's media centers have been working toward incorporating activities so that students can come together, allow their creativity to thrive, and strengthen their STEM education.[Read More]

Agreed-upon procedures report confirms all District 210 bond funds accounted for

At its regular meeting on April 14, the Lincoln-Way Community High School District 210 Board of Education took action to accept a report from independent accounting firm Crowe Horwath, which was hired in November to conduct a comprehensive agreed-upon procedures examination (AUP) of the District's May 2006, February 2007 and December 2009 bond issues for the construction of Lincoln-Way North and West high schools, as well as other improvements and equipment for Lincoln-Way Central and East. On our European trip this year, we visit the German-speaking countries of Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein, and Switzerland.
