The Lincoln-Way North High School Theatre Company is back at work, preparing for the school’s annual winter play.
This year’s production will be a dramatic comedy called “A Wind Between the Houses,” which tells the story of a recent widow, Gracie, who has taken to talking to her husband’s created remains. She even goes as far as fixing breakfast for her husband’s urn.
The widow’s children, Shelia and John, have decided to confront their mother because the neighborhood has started to talk about how crazy Gracie seems. Of course, Gracie’s dearest friends, Amelia and Lucinda, do not see any problems with Gracie talking to the urn.
Cast in the play are Ryan Vander Ploeg, Danielle Smith, Ashley Rose, Maura Alroth, Sarah Anderson, Terry Lilja, Jenna Murphy, Tyler Burke, Kelsey Blank, Veronica Dembosz, Eric Garcia, Leah Rutz, Lindsey Shoemaker and Nick Molinare.
The faculty sponsor is Samantha Belke.
Show times are 7 p.m. Jan. 21, 22 and 23 at Lincoln-Way North High School, 19900 S. Harlem Ave., Frankfort.
Tickets are $5 at the door.
