The Lincoln-Way Youth Strings (LWYS) program is announcing their upcoming 2-week String Camp Extravaganza at Lincoln-Way East High School, Frankfort. The classes will begin June 20 and run to June 30, Monday through Friday. Students attend five days a week the first week and four days a week the second week.

Steve Nedzel - Lincoln-Way West Music Department Chair and Band Director Dies

The Lincoln-Way High School District 210 is mourning the loss of one of its faculty members, Steve Nedzel. Steve, who was the Lincoln-Way West Music Department Chair, director of the West Warrior Marching Band, Pep Band, Percussion Ensemble, and a teacher of Music Technology I and II, died on Friday, June 17. He was 32 years old and had worked for Lincoln-Way for 10 years.

Lincoln-Way High School District 210 kicked off their second semester of summer school classes the week of June 30. Second semester will run from Thursday, June 30 to Tuesday, July 19, 2011 with no school on Monday, July 4. Second semester classes are being held at Lincoln-Way East and Lincoln-Way West. Classes are offered for freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors.
