Summer school second semester registration

Summer school registration is continuing for all Lincoln-Way freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors looking to get ahead this summer by taking their choice of required classes or electives. Registration is ongoing for second semester until 12:00 noon on Friday, June 29.

Lincoln-Way District 210 summer school classes for 2012 will be held at Lincoln-Way West High School, 21701 S. Gougar, New Lenox and Lincoln-Way North High school, 19900 S. Harlem Avenue, Frankfort this year.

Semester Two will run from Thursday, July 5, 2012 to Monday, July 23, 2012. Class times will be from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, five days a week.

"Student achievement is our business; excellence is our goal. In our endeavors to offer our students the best opportunities to improve all during the year we offer all courses for summer school for all students, including our entering freshmen; however class enrollment may dictate the location of the course," stated Lawrence A. Wyllie, Superintendent.

The summer school program is a self-supporting program. Students who reside in Lincoln-Way High School District 210 will pay a fee of $175 per semester and $350 for two semesters. Students who reside outside of Lincoln-Way District 210 boundaries will pay a fee of $250 per semester. Transportation for Lincoln-Way 210 residents only is available at an additional cost of $60 per semester.

Summer school is a concentrated program; therefore attendance at summer school is mandatory. One day of summer school is equivalent to five days during the school year; consequently a student will be dropped and no refund will be issued if he/she accumulates more than one day of absence per semester.

Summer School 2013 tentatively is to be held at Lincoln-Way East High School and Lincoln-Way West High School.
