Two Lincoln-Way sophomore softball teams were recognized recently by the South Suburbs Officials Association (SSOA) as winners of its annual Softball Sportsmanship Awards.
Lincoln-Way Central and Lincoln-Way North sophomore softball teams were selected for the sportsmanship awards.
"Our Lincoln-Way Central sophomore softball team played with a lot of heart. This group of girls had a strong work ethic and displayed great school spirit. It's nice to see them recognized for carrying the values and qualities that they learn and display in our classroom onto the athletic field," stated Dr. Steve Provis, principal.
"Our sophomore softball team was made up of a group of girls that worked well together and worked very hard. Win or lose they showed great character," remarked Dr. Michael Gardner, principal of Lincoln-Way North.
