We are proud to say the district has one of the lowest per-pupil expenditures for all high schools in the six counties in the Chicagoland area. For the school year 2008-2009, we learned both Lincoln-Way East and Lincoln-Way Central scored in the top 6% of high schools in the state of Illinois for the Prairie State Achievement Exam (PSAE). Lincoln-Way East ranked 33 and Lincoln-Way Central ranked 44 out of the 654 public high schools in the state. This put Lincoln-Way East in the upper 5% of all high schools in Illinois, and Central in the upper 6%. East and Central also ranked first and second of high schools in Will County as well as in the southwestern suburbs in the SWSC conference. For the current school year we are pleased to say Lincoln-Way schools improved over last year in state test scores. In addition, Lincoln-Way North juniors joined with Central and East to qualify to take the PSAE test during their inaugural year as a high school. We wait to see where we rank in Illinois for this school year.
High school enrollments for the 2009-2010 school year are as follows: Lincoln-Way Central – 2,252; Lincoln-Way East – 2,303; Lincoln-Way North – 1,815; and Lincoln-Way West - 1,001.
