How do students see their counselor? Students can make an appointment with the counselor or  walk-in. Counselors also visit advisories and send passes to see each student multiple times a year.

What does PPS do? The PPS staff works to serve the student’s academic, personal and social interests.  Our staff consists of the PPS Director, counselors, a social worker, a school psychologist, Registrar,  and Nurse.  The primary responsibility of the counselor is helping each student navigate the challenges of high school and adolescence.  The PPS team is responsible for the following:

• Academic Planning / Graduation Requirement Review
• College Advisement
• Career Exploration and Planning
• Academic Testing Programs
• Individual and group counseling
• Parent Programs
• Critical Incidence Stress Debriefing Team
• Counselor Referrals
• Student Interventions
• Homework requests for ill students (24 hours notification)
