Description:
Our season starts with practice in September. Competition begins in November and runs through February. There are meetings once a month for the whole team, while individuals meet with their respective coaches to rehearse their events at least once every week.

We compete with schools from the entire state at both varsity and novice levels in the following events: Dramatic Duet Acting, Dramatic Interpretation, Extemporaneous Speaking, Humorous Duet Acting, Humorous Interpretation, Impromptu Speaking, Oratorical Declamation, Original Comedy, Original Oratory,  Prose Reading, Radio Speaking, and Special Occasion Speaking. 

Our purpose is to increase students' confidence and creativity in speaking to the public and performing in front of audiences. Personal, oral communication will never be replaced by computers! This skill is highly sought after by both colleges and hiring professionals.
