Breanna Bembenek

Lincoln-Way Central is proud to announce Breanna Bembenek as the Knights’ new varsity girls soccer head coach. Bembenek, a science teacher at Central, is a 2017 graduate of Lincoln-Way West where she was a four-year member of the Warriors soccer team.

Bembenek played soccer at York University, with her final year of college eligibility being played at Governors State University. In 2022, Bembenek joined the girls soccer program at Central as an assistant coach and has been working with the team ever since. She is also in her fourth season as an assistant coach for the boys soccer team.

“I’m incredibly honored to step into the role of Head Coach for the Lincoln-Way Central girls soccer program. I have a deep love for the game and a desire to give back to the soccer community that helped shape who I am,” Bembenek said.  “I look forward to continuing traditions, building strong relationships with our athletes, and supporting them in growing not just as soccer players, but as confident and capable individuals.”

Athletic Director Bob Ward said, “Since joining Lincoln-Way Central’s soccer staff in 2022, Coach Bembenek has served as an integral part of both the boys’ and girls’ soccer programs, demonstrating a deep commitment to player development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Her leadership, energy, and understanding of the game have made a lasting impression on student-athletes and colleagues alike.” Ward continued, “Coach Bembenek brings experience, enthusiasm, and a true connection to our community. Her leadership will inspire our athletes to compete at their highest level both on and off the field.”
