SCIENCE

You can teach a student a lesson for a day; but if you can teach him to learn by creating curiosity, he will continue the learning process as long as he lives.” ~Clay P. Bedford

Students attending a Lincoln-Way High School will be provided with learning opportunities in the sciences that are consistent with a mixture of the State of Illinois and National Science Education Standards. These proficiencies along with the commitment from the Lincoln-Way Science Departments, will provide the experiences and opportunities necessary to maximize the academic and social growth of all students.

The keys to a successful science education program are incorporating the following knowledge and skills for the engaged students through lecture, discussions, classroom activities and laboratory experiences:

  • Scientific investigation
