
Mrs. Opoka's 7th hour US History class participated in a collaborative, competitive, and fun game of tic tac toe to help review for final exams.




Mrs. McAllister's English 1 class engaged in a friendly and collaborative competition using Quizizz to review for their final.




Mr. Bryk's Spanish 2 class uses Blooket as a fun way to review for finals. They are also working together with a partner to practice for their speaking final.




Thank you to our Future Educators of America for hosting a fun holiday event for kids! During this event kids made a holiday ornament, played games, read stories and took home a snack.

LWC English Department Chair, Mrs. Yanule, reviewed JJC Dual Credit requirements with all junior students interested in taking College Writing next year. If you have any questions about the class enrollment procedures, please see your English teacher or Mrs. Yanule directly.


The 2021 Bridge competition was held on Wednesday. Cody Teske was this year's winner with an efficiency of 1,973 meaning his 16.2 g bridge held about 32 kg or 70 pounds! Rounding out the top 4 were Aidan Matson, Andrew DeMik, & Jacob Gavin.





Members of the LWC chapter of the Illinois Music Honor Society attended a performance of Joffrey Ballet’s NUTCRACKER at the Civic Opera House in downtown Chicago on December 5th. It was a magical time!


Engineering Physics students are re-engineering their bridges to be ready for the big event on Wed, December 8th starting at 3 PM in the north cafe. Winners from our LW Central event will be able to participate in the regional bridge contest held at IIT.



LWC National Honor Society members collected 187 toys to donate to Toys for Tots for their December service project.


Students in Mrs. Malito's Biology classes hypothesized the effects of different solutions on osmosis in carrots. Students will make observations of the carrots based off the string tied around each carrot.



Last weekend, the Knights robotics team 14683 had a fantastic showing at the first competition of the year in
Kankakee. Mr. Drumheller, the club's sponsor, is excited to see what this group can do this year. They have been meeting weekly since the beginning of the school year.


Congrats to Mr. Taylor’s Microsoft Office Application students: Meili, Demetre, & Justin for their success in achieving certification in PowerPoint. The course is dual credit with JJC & offered to all students to improve their Microsoft Office skills & typing speed & accuracy.

The Lincoln-Way Marching Band at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade!!


We are looking forward to seeing @lwmarchingband perform in the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade!


Today, students in AP Language classes participated in the 55th annual Brad Bounds Turkey Contest. Mr. Bounds was a teacher in district #210, and we have kept this fun tradition alive. Happy Thanksgiving!





Animal Volunteer Club had a blast making tug toys for cats and dogs at NAWS during their November meeting.





The LWC Science Club had great weather to begin the process of tagging the fish that were added in early fall. Students placed a fyke net in the pond and waited 3 days. Club members recorded mass, length, and identified species of fish. Each fish was tagged and released.
