District 210 College Fair – A Huge Success!

We’re proud to share that the District 210 College Fair was an incredible event, featuring over 145 colleges and universities in attendance!

A huge shoutout to Mr. Smith, LWC College Counselor, and Mrs. Zaucha, LWC School Counselor, for their outstanding leadership and dedication in organizing this impactful event.

We also want to recognize the amazing PPS team members from all three Lincoln-Way high schools, who came together to support and help make this event a success.

Students had the opportunity to gather valuable information about college admissions, application deadlines, scholarships, FAFSA, and more!

Earlier this week, students in Ms. Rush’s English 4 class presented infographics that they created. The infographics had key information on them from their annotated bibliography projects. They had to research career fields that they’re interested in and discuss their findings with peers.

Mrs. Korczak's Ms. Rush's, and Mr. Vlach’s English 1 Honors classes crafted original children’s books for their narrative projects. Today, they were responsible for presenting these stories to groups of their peers. Not only did students exhibit mastery of plot, theme, characterization, and narrative writing, they also demonstrated growth in their speaking and listening skills through presenting and reflecting on the project. Everyone enjoyed the project; there are several potential authors and illustrators in these classes!

Mrs. Korczak's English 4 classes participated in her annual puzzle competition!  The head fake is that it is not intended for the students to complete the puzzle, but to work together and communicate strategy. The students were engaged, and several asked to do this activity again!

The Future Business Leaders of America club is proud to share that Lincoln-Way Central had a record-breaking year in our partnership with Versiti Blood Centers! This school year, our students and staff helped save up to 312 lives by donating blood at three separate drives, with 54 first-time donors stepping up to make a difference. Even more amazing—we increased our total units collected by 82% compared to last year! Thank you to everyone who donated, shared the opportunity with your students and helped make this impact possible. We can’t wait to keep saving lives next school year! Coach Taylor & FBLA Go Knights!
