🚨LWC Life and Pathways classes honored SRO Maxwell this morning to celebrate "National Police Week!" Thank you for all that you do for LWC! 🚔




Congratulations to Vinny Gallegos and Ryan Valecek for being chosen as winners in the Warrior's Walk design contest. Vinny's design will be used on this year's event t-shirt, and Ryan's design will be used as the 2025 event flyer. Both students received $250 for their winning artwork. Event organizers, Ryan Brazel and Scott Meder, were in class to present the students with their awards.



Mrs. Nowicki's juniors debated who should feel responsible for a character's death in The Great Gatsby today. Special thanks to former juniors Tony Noto and Braden Meyer as well as Mr. Kutt and Mr. Gmazel for being our judges!

Congratulations to all of the students that have artwork included in the LWC Spring Art Show. Many people came out Wednesday evening to celebrate the students and see their hard work and talents from this school year on display. A special congratulations to Blu Gutkowski for receiving the Purchase Award. Blu's marker drawing will be added to the permanent collection in the auditorium lobby.






Did you know that Paradise Falls in Pixar’s “Up” is based on the world’s tallest waterfall called Angel Falls in Canaima National Park, Venezuela 🇻🇪🎈? Today Spanish 2 students learned about this UNESCO world heritage site as a part of their travel unit. Special thank you to Oriana for presenting about her experiences growing up in Venezuela with all of its natural wonders! ⛰️🏝️⚡️🏞️






To celebrate the release of Taylor Swift's Tortured Poets Department album release Friday, the English department put their twist on the album title, highlighting famous poets. 🤍📝



LWC LIFE Skills class took a trip to Lake Katherine to go on a nature walk and learn about different insects and animals! 🦋🌱🌸







Dr. Raatjes’ Ceramics class and the LIFE Skills class celebrated World Art Day by teaming up to make snake pots! 🎨

Congratulations to LWC freshmen Elizabeth Taussig for being selected to receive the Charles R Stark Summer Music Camp Scholarship through the LWC Music Boosters. Elizabeth received a $1,350 scholarship to attend Indiana University's Summer Saxophone Academy July 7-13.


Congratulations to LWC senior Nick Okoskey, who was recently awarded the Felton Harlan Memorial Scholarship at the Midwest Color Guard Circuit Championships April 5th at Andrew High School. Well done, Nick!
