Congratulations to all Lincoln-Way East 2021 Community Scholarship Night award recipients!
This year, Lincoln-Way East had 69 organizations issue 165 community scholarships to 138 different students. They had three Chick Evans Scholars and one military appointment to the Army ROTC.
The Lincoln-Way East Scholarship Committee determined 58 of the recipients (313 General Scholarship Applications received) and the organizations choose the remaining 107 scholarship awardees.
The Community Scholarship donations amounted to $113,850!
When adding in the estimated monetary amounts of Chick Evans and the military appointment, the grand total in scholarships is $465,244.00!
“We were excited to offer a modified in-person Community Scholarship Night for the recipients and their parents on Thursday, May 6th. We appreciate the organizations for their time, effort, and support in making these scholarships available to our seniors. We are proud of our students and honored that the organizations recognized them as worthy recipients,” said Lincoln-Way East Counselor Lynne Jurges.
