The Lincoln-Way Community High School District 210 Board of Education approved the contract for two new administrators for the 2026-2027 school year at their meeting on February 19th.
Dr. Jennifer Killeen has been named the new principal of Lincoln-Way West and will begin July 1st. Killeen will take over the role from Dr. Ted Robbins, who will be retiring from the district at the end of this school year. Killeen has worked in the district for 21 years and has served as associate principal at Lincoln-Way West for the last 14 years. Prior to her role as associate principal at West, Killeen worked in the special services department and as a dean at Lincoln-Way Central. “I am honored and excited to be the next Principal of Lincoln-Way West. I am grateful for the many years I have spent in this exceptional community working closely with students, staff, and families to support a safe and well-organized learning environment,” said Killeen. “As both an educator and a parent in this community, I look forward to building on our strong foundation and continuing our shared commitment to student success.”
Kyle Freise will step into the director of technology role at the district beginning July 1st. Freise will work in partnership with current director of technology Cheryl Kay, who will retire in December, to ensure a smooth transition. Freise has 17 years of experience in public education, having served in various technology roles in Batavia, Hinsdale, and, most recently, West Aurora school district. “I am excited to bring my passion and experience to Lincoln-Way,” said Freise. “I am committed to improving opportunities for students using modern technology while keeping our teachers’ needs at the forefront of my mission.”
“Both Dr. Killeen and Mr. Freise are equipped to make a positive impact here at Lincoln-Way,” said Dr. Scott Tingley, superintendent. “They each bring a unique skillset and a wealth of experience that will serve them well in their new roles with the district.”
