Lincoln-Way Community High School District 210 is proud to announce the hiring of several new head coaches who will lead programs in the upcoming spring and fall athletic seasons.
Girls Flag Football
During the January Board of Education meeting, the Board approved the creation of a girls flag football team at each high school beginning in the 2026–2027 school year. As it is one of the fastest growing high school sports in the country, Lincoln-Way is thrilled to offer this opportunity to our student athletes. The district has hired its inaugural head coaches for next season:
Lincoln-Way Central – Sarah Willis
Sarah Willis brings eight years of flag football playing experience from both high school and North Central College. Her strong understanding of the game and enthusiasm for building new programs make her an excellent leader for Lincoln-Way Central’s newest team.

Lincoln-Way East – Blake Hammond
A 2008 graduate of Lincoln-Way East, Blake Hammond returns with playing experience at Western Michigan University and previous high school coaching experience. His passion and background will help guide the Griffins through their inaugural season.

Lincoln-Way West – Dominic DeLuca
Dominic DeLuca, a four-year starter at the University of St. Francis and longtime head girls track and field coach at Lincoln-Way West, brings extensive coaching expertise to the new program. He is excited to help expand athletic opportunities for female student-athletes.

Lincoln-Way West Announces New Head Boys Tennis Coach
Lincoln-Way West has named John Cupp as the new head boys tennis coach. Cupp, who currently leads the girls tennis program, brings valuable experience and familiarity with the team.
He succeeds Tim Daly, who recently retired after years of dedicated service. The district extends its sincere appreciation to Coach Daly for his commitment and contributions and looks forward to continued success under Coach Cupp’s leadership.

New Head Coach for Co-Op Girls Lacrosse
Lincoln-Way is also pleased to announce Amy Bechstein as the new head coach for the district’s co-op girls lacrosse team. Bechstein, an elementary physical education teacher, emphasizes fundamentals, skill development, and lifelong healthy habits in her coaching approach.
She is committed to fostering a program centered on accountability, teamwork, and growth. With her background as a multi-sport athlete and educator, she brings energy and structure to this growing program and is excited for the season ahead.
