Students smiling against a blank wall holding certificates

Lincoln-Way Community High School District 210 recently recognized students across all three schools for their participation in the Illinois Secretary of State’s “Read for a Lifetime” program, a statewide initiative that encourages high school students to explore both classic and contemporary literature.

The Read for a Lifetime program challenges students to read from an annual list of 25 titles. Students who complete at least four books receive certificates of achievement signed by the Illinois Secretary of State and State Librarian, while students who complete all 25 books or participate throughout all four years of high school earn additional recognition.

During a recent Board of Education meeting, Lincoln-Way honored the many students who participated in the program, including those who read all 25 books each of their four years of high school. Those students include:

  • Griffin Chojnacki – East

  • Sofia Fish – West

  • May Frank – West

  • Joseph Gorter – East

  • Natasha Kaitei – East

  • Jamie McKernan – East

  • Liam Sayers – East

  • Rebecca Stefanelli – West

  • Rachel Veis – Central

  • Sabrina Zinsky – East

The program continues to be a meaningful opportunity for students to expand their perspectives, strengthen literacy skills, and foster a lifelong appreciation for reading.

Lincoln-Way congratulates all of the students recognized for their accomplishments and applauds their dedication to reading both inside and outside of the classroom.
