
Holiday Fun with Future Educators of America! FEA hosted a holiday event open to the children of all faculty and staff members at LWC. At the event, FEA students helped them make an ornament and do other holiday activities.

The SHOES were placed by the window with care for St. Nicholas Day in French class. Students decorated paper shoes to learn about the traditions around the holiday in France. On December 6, they found some “bon bons” in their “chaussures.”











Congrats Speech Team!. Bella LaVette placed 4th in the Next In Final Round at the D230 Flavortown Forensics Feast on December 2nd at Sandburg High School.
She was 12th overall out of 49 competitors in the category of Prose Reading.


Central’s International Club took a field trip on Friday after school to the Christkindlmarket in Aurora. Students enjoyed trying new foods and purchasing delicious German chocolates. Fun was had by all!


Mrs. Gorniak's class completed a fun comparison unit for Matilda and had a special guest to stop in for the activity. Dr. Mac got all the votes!



The LWC Music Department will present VESPERS 2023 tomorrow, December 1st, at 7:00PM in the Charles R Stark Center for the Performing Arts (Door 7A).
Vespers 2023 is our annual holiday concert featuring all of LWC's curricular ensembles performing fun, seasonally festive melodies - and cookies!
The fun kicks off at 7:00PM with Guitar Studio and all Choirs -- followed by the annual Intermission Cookie Party.
The fun continues after intermission with Percussion Ensembles, Orchestra, and Bands.
Admission is a nonperishable donation for our "Literal Ton of Food Drive" to be donated to our Frankfort and New Lenox food pantries.
Concertgoers may also bring a pair of gloves or mittens to hang on the Mitten Tree, which will also be collected for our food pantries.

Spanish 4 & 5 students welcomed back LWC World Language alumni today to hear about their college experience, especially majoring/minoring in Spanish, and studying abroad in Spanish-speaking countries. We always love and appreciate their words of wisdom! Thank you, alumni!

LIFE and Pathways students got a tutorial and learned drills from JROTC today, while learning about Veterans Day!






Students in Mrs. Zolk’s English I classes reviewed for their quiz on Romeo and Juliet through an interactive Bingo game. They practiced a skills including discussion and collaboration, application of literary devices and figurative language, and analysis of characterization.
