Students visited Governor's State University for the SWSC Visual Arts Festival today. They enjoyed viewing their artwork in the gallery and working with GSU art faculty. They also got to hear a presentation by Peter Bertucci, a L-Way graduate working in the animation industry in LA. Congratulations to Nadia Paprocki for winning the Best of School Award for L-Way Central for her digital photograph!



Congrats Varsity Scholastic Bowl for their win last night. We finished with a record of 11-2 & SWSC Red Division Champs. Jr. Luke Friedl and Trent Kudla were awarded All-Conference honors & completed in the SWSC All-Star Match. Amazing job, Knights! Good luck at Regionals!

Congratulations to Kira Szczytowski for being recognized with an honorable mention award for her printmaking self-portrait in this year's Scholastic Art Competition. The Scholastic Art Competition is the largest and most competitive art competition in the nation. This year 1,901 pieces of artwork were entered by over 25 schools, and only one third were accepted into the show.


Mrs. Rodriguez's English 2 class started diving into a new graphic novel!



Students in Art Fundamentals begin working on their first design project of the semester. Consider enrolling in and Art class as a great way to explore your creative side in a relaxing and fun classroom environment!



The LWC Freshmen class will be sponsoring a Nothing Bundt Cakes sale this Friday, Jan 19th during lunch periods to raise money for the freshmen class.

Our Knights were "in the room where it happens" this afternoon! Our Illinois Music Honor Society attended HAMILTON at the Nederlander Theater to kick off winter break!
