
Congratulations to the Lincoln-Way Indoor Percussion program for an outstanding performance at the WGI Indianapolis Regional this past weekend!




The community is invited to the annual ArtWorks Festival being held at L-WAY EAST on Saturday, March 16th from 10am-3pm. The festival will include artwork from 32 area schools K-12, hands-on art activities for kids, music performances, face painting, and concessions. The event is free to the public. See the attached image for more information and a schedule of activities.


The Lincoln-Way Central/West Guitar Studio performed brilliantly at the 28th Annual Mid-America Guitar Ensemble Festival at Illinois State University this weekend!




Intramurals were in full force with open gym on Monday. We had two winning teams for each round. The first-round winning team was Drew Woodburn, Lucas Andresen, Joel Rafferty. In the "make it take it" second round, the winning team was Macoy Trudeau, Connor Gallagher, and Elwood Chestea. It was great to have everyone come out! Chinese AP students display their work for an art gallery project in the library. The display is going on now through next Wednesday. There are Chinese and English descriptions of famous artists. We would love for you to check it out!





Students in Mrs. Korczaks English 4 class practiced their acting skills by performing scene adaptations from Hamlet. Shakespeare would be proud!











Over 90 students took the STAMP exam today at LWC! Students tested in Spanish, French, German, and Polish. The STAMP exam evaluates a student’s proficiency level in the language and is used to help a student qualify for the Seal of Biliteracy. Way to go!





LWC LIFE Skills class had a great time at Farmhouse Academy today! 🍕







LWC Special Olympics Bowling won their match against LWE today. Great job to all the athletes!










Congratulations to the LW210 Drumline for an outstanding 4th Place finish at the WGI Chicago Regional Saturday, February 17 at Plainfield Central HS!





Mardi Gras! 🟣🟢🟡 French 3/4 students learned about this cultural celebration and created invitations for a Mardi Gras event.








Chinese students celebrate the new year this weekend! Students created art, learned how to say common new year’s phrases, and watched the New Year’s Gala that occurs in China. This is the year of the dragon! 🐉

Mrs. Davy’s Second Hour AP Scholars celebrate raising the most money for Breast Cancer Research in the school during Winter Week!


Ms. Browne's class did an awesome job presenting their career research projects!









Students visited Governor's State University for the SWSC Visual Arts Festival today. They enjoyed viewing their artwork in the gallery and working with GSU art faculty. They also got to hear a presentation by Peter Bertucci, a L-Way graduate working in the animation industry in LA. Congratulations to Nadia Paprocki for winning the Best of School Award for L-Way Central for her digital photograph!



Congrats Varsity Scholastic Bowl for their win last night. We finished with a record of 11-2 & SWSC Red Division Champs. Jr. Luke Friedl and Trent Kudla were awarded All-Conference honors & completed in the SWSC All-Star Match. Amazing job, Knights! Good luck at Regionals!
