Beginning Monday, LWC will be joining many schools nationwide in a collection for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. LW210 has made donations to LLS yearly during October.

Photography 1 students began working in the darkroom this week using the equipment and chemicals to print photographs from their negatives. Photo students get to experience both film and digital photographic processes in Photography class.




SADD, TATU, and Snowball had a great experience this past month making toys out of t-shirts for the local animal shelters.






Last Saturday, 26 students from International Club went to HMart, a Korean grocery store chain. There they got to explore the store, buy specialty products from Asia, and eat lunch at the food court. Central students were joined by students from East for an extra special trip!









Medical anatomy hosted our very own 2018 Lincoln-Way Central grad, Maura Hall, who recently earned her South College BSN Nursing Degree. Maura shared her incredible journey and insights into the world of nursing with Mrs. Taylor's Medical Anatomy class. Maura's success is a testament to the amazing things that can happen when you pursue your dreams, relentlessly. Her visit today left us all feeling motivated and determined to follow our own path to success.


Forensic Science students set up a pumpkin decomposition lab today. The students made a hypothesis as to which pumpkin with decompose the fastest and will monitor the stages of decomposition throughout the rest of the semester.





The Junior Class Council had a blast working in the concession stand at Friday nights football game!


Chemistry labs galore today in B wing. Mrs. Taylor, Mrs. Sieber, and Mrs. Hamann's classes were hands on learning. Pictured here is Mrs. Hamann's class identifying chemical and physical changes through evidence collected as data and observations.




LWC Forensic Science students enjoyed researching the JonBenet Ramsey case and forming their own theories on who may have committed the crime as they created evidence boards.






LWC Noble Knights had a fantastic first outing to The Cottages of New Lenox!



On Monday 9/18, LWC science welcomed Mr. Brian Bembenek (father of Ms. Bembenek). He is a retired Burbank Police Department Evidence Technician and he shared his 1st hand experience with our students. We appreciate him taking time to share his expertise.



Best Buddies had a blast at their pizza peer buddy match night!











Geology has been studying minerals and are now identifying minerals using physical and chemical properties to figure out which mineral is which!

Lots of awesome review going on in Spanish 3 today in preparation for upcoming assessments next week! Some classes made and presented concept map posters while others raced against the bell to answer questions.








LWC LIFE and Pathways classes took a trip to the zoo today!










Students in Mrs. Davy's English 1 Honors class participated in Boo Radley characterization poster contests in class today! Congrats to the winners!
