FBLA hosted a blood drive at the Village of New Lenox tonight and had an outstanding turnout! We doubled our goal and had over 30 donations which will save almost 100 lives!
Artwork by 30 Central students is currently on display in the annual High School Art Exhibit at the Vogt Visual Arts Center in Tinley Park (17420 67th Ct.). The show will be on display until November 28th. Please consult the Vogt Visual Art Center website for their hours.
Spanish classes celebrated Día de Los Muertos by creating various art projects, watching Coco, and trying authentic Mexican food, like pan de muerto!
Today, eight students from LWC were inducted into the Société Honoraire de Français (French Honor Society). These students have worked hard to earn high grades and have committed to community service as well as to pursuing the Seal of Biliteracy.
On Saturday, members of the International Club visited the National Museum of Mexican Art in Pilsen to see the annual Día de los Muertos exhibit.
Congratulations to LWC students Annalise Popow, Autumn Cooper, Megan Moy, Kylie Koehler, and Alia Muhammad for having their artwork chosen for the Joliet Junior College Area High School Art Exhibition. The students' artwork will be on display at JJC's Laura A. Sprague Art Gallery in Building J from Nov. 6th -- Dec. 8th.
The LWC LIFE Skills classes took a trip to Lake Katherine today for a nature scavenger hunt and picnic! 🐝🌳☀️

Our first action packed day of the LWC Disc Golf club. Thanks to the guys for coming up with a great campus course and a fun afternoon.
LWE grads Aubrey, Chelsea & Mattie Korneta met with LWC French students via WebEx. Students prepared questions ahead of time for our guests to answer. Students learned about their experiences living, studying & working in France.
LWC Orchestra members enjoyed watching the world-renowned Chicago Symphony Orchestra rehearse in Chicago today!
Today the German students welcomed Malin to their classes for a conversation about culture and her experiences in Germany. Malin’s cousin is a student at LWC and Malin is a teacher in Germany. They talked about food, cost of university, and school life, among other topics!
The LWC English Department got into the Homecoming spirit by participating in the door decorating contest. They chose passages that include a LIGHT motif. Happy Homecoming 2024-A Knight Under the Lanterns ❤️🖤🏮

The International Club traveled to Aurora on Saturday, September 14th to visit the Asian supermarket and food court at Pacifica Square. Students got to explore the store for unique flavors and ingredients, as well as sample authentic Asian dishes for lunch.
We had so much fun at our Best Buddies matching party last night!! Congratulations to all of the buddies and peer buddies on their matches! ❤️
