We're kicking off Red Ribbon Week on Monday, 10/26 by reminding everyone that making healthy, positive choices is always in style!

Today Miss VandenBerg's Algebra 1 class reviewed for their assessment tomorrow by working with a partner to match graphs to equations in different forms.

Lincoln-Way District 210 National Honor Society officers came together for a Southwest Suburban Conference (SWSC) community service activity at Smith Crossing! Our student leaders volunteered their time and connected with residents.

From start to finish, it was a day filled with Griffin pride, celebrations, and unforgettable moments! So many reasons to be proud, so many memories made, and so much to celebrate!

We will be joining many schools nationwide in a collection for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  Since 2006, Lincoln-Way students and staff have made significant donations to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society yearly.

We will once again have a link for each school in order to collect donations.  All donations are appreciated and are tax-deductible. Your support empowers The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to achieve their goal to cure blood cancer and provide support to patients and their families.

Students in Mrs. Zolk's English 2 Honors classes reviewed for their upcoming vocabulary quiz by participating in small groups in a friendly competition to determine how to use words within provided context. The review game was a cross between BINGO and a relay race, adding in collaboration, movement, and fun. Good luck to all on the quiz!

LWE fall play is next weekend Saturday October 17th at 7pm and Sunday October 18th at 3pm. The show, "Maid to Order" is a fast-paced, hilarious one-hour comedy filled with mixed-up identities, ridiculous characters, unexpected twists, and a totally chaotic chase scene. Tickets are $10 at the door. You won't want to miss it.

The LWE Interact Club took some time to write thank you notes for the veterans who get the chance to ride the Chicago honor flight from Chicago to Washington. The vets will be able to read them on the flight.

Get ready, Griffins! Wednesday, October 14th is PreACT/ACT Testing Day for Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors. Reminder! NO zero hour classes this day. Standard testing will be dismissed at 11:45a.m. Please make sure to bring your fully-charged school laptop, charger, pen/pencil, calculator and a student ID with you. Wednesday is a non-attendance day for seniors.

This year’s theme is For the Beauty of the Earth, inviting us to appreciate the natural world and the many elements that make it extraordinary. Ring in the holiday season with this special tradition!
