Yearbook Photo Day for Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors & Seniors!
As a reminder, Photo Day for Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors will be Thursday, August 28th. Students will have their yearbook picture taken by Burns Photography during their P.E., Health, Driver’s Ed., or JROTC class. All school retake/makeup date is September 25th during their lunch or advisory period. If any senior was not able to schedule or attend a session at Burns Photography this summer, they must have their photo taken 8/28 or 9/25 to be included in the yearbook. All parents will receive an email shortly after the photo day with a direct link to view their student's proof. During this orientation, incoming freshman will:
• Meet fellow classmates
• Participate in a guided tour led by our Griffin Crew leaders
• Have their school ID photos taken
• Receive their laptops
• Learn everything they need to know to start the school year with confidence
Please drop off your student at the main entrance off Colorado Avenue at Door #1 or Door #40.
The goal of this event is to provide you with helpful information to support and guide your freshman as they navigate this important transition. If you are unable to attend in person, a recorded presentation will be made available for viewing at your convenience after the event.
We understand that this is a busy time of year for families. If your student is unable to attend Freshman Orientation, we encourage them to participate in the LWE Open House on Thursday, August 14th, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. During the Open House, Griffin Crew leaders will be available to give tours of the building and assist students with laptop pickup.
In addition, we have added a parent session to Open House. This meeting is designed especially for parents of transfer students and first-time high school parents. Whether you're new to high school life or just looking for helpful info, we've got you covered! Come learn how we support your student’s success. An emailed version of this meeting will be sent home if you cannot attend.

The Lincoln-Way Foundation is thrilled to announce its annual SummerFest, taking place on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 6:00 PM at the beautiful CD&ME venue in Frankfort. This lively summer event will feature an evening of music, food, and community spirit—all in support of local education.
All proceeds from SummerFest will benefit the grants and scholarship programs supporting students and educators within Lincoln-Way High School District 210.

Blood Drive Donor Sign-Ups are happening at Lincoln-Way East! Our goal for this drive is to collect at least 25 units, which will help us fulfill a hospital order for blood products. Your efforts truly make a difference, and we’re grateful for your continued support.

We’re thrilled to recognize Ms. Carlie Premo, a dedicated science teacher at Lincoln-Way East High School, for her outstanding commitment to our students and school community! Not only does she inspire curiosity and excellence in the classroom, but Carlie also plays a vital role beyond it—leading two of our most impactful student programs: Griffin Crew and Griffin Guides. Through her leadership, these programs have become cornerstones of connection, mentorship, and school spirit at LWE. Congratulations, Ms. Premo on this amazing recognition!
A tremendous State Meet performance by our Power Lifting Team. 3 individual State champs (Ilyas Yassin, Tori Lehman, and Elisha Adams) and an individual state runner-up (Giuseppe Goebel). Ilyas Yassin also earned the IHSPLA Beyond Strength Award. Thanks to Coach Ray Sabo for leading the team to such success in year one!
