Special thanks to Music teacher Ms. Samawi and Social Science teachers Mr. Olson and Mr. Bonebrake, for visiting with Lincoln-Way East Reading and Freshman Seminar students to share their favorite autobiographies, memoirs, and biographies. The students, who are currently studying the genre, got to hear about a wide variety of fascinating people and their stories!

About 60 students came out for Lincoln Way East's 3rd annual Dance Marathon event! Students enjoyed games, raffles, karaoke, and hearing from families who have been affected by Lurie Children's Hospital. Students raised over $14,000 for Lurie Children's Hospital!!

LWE Scholastic Bowl 2nd Place today at Sectionals! The first game they defeated Oak Lawn 400-200.Second game they beat HF 350-240. Last round was a tough loss to Sandburg 230-430.

LWE Peer Helpers on retreat at Camp Manitoqua learning how they can be sources of support for their peers.


Dr. Goldie presented Kahn Academy to East staff today during our AM Session. She demonstrated how to create a class, assign lessons, and incorporate SAT prep. Kahn Academy and College Board have a partnership, so students can import their standardized test scores as a reference.

Did you know that teens should get 9 - 9.5 hours of sleep a night? So why don't you? This Friday, Key Club is encouraging LWE students to respond to ten questions (right or wrong) to participate in a drawing to spend Monday or Tuesday with a therapy dog during their advisory.
