
LWE is kicking off an exciting Homecoming Week! Don't forget to dress up tomorrow!


LWE’s class board members and fellow Griffins decorated the hallways for our Eastronomical Homecoming 2021!





The Lincoln-Way Marching Band was awarded the Class 4A title at the Bands Of America Clarksville regional in Clarksville, Tennessee. They were also awarded best visual, best music and best general effect in class 4A. They will compete later tonight in finals competition against the top 12 bands across all classes for a chance to be crowned the Grand Champion! Stay tuned..#lw210



Alexis DiSera did a fantastic job of decorating cookies for a cheer team! Alexis is part of our Co-Op work program at Lincoln -Way East and works at Orland Park Bakery.



Mrs. Venezio’s Reading courses review the definition of schema where students recall the meaning of a word based on life experiences. Students connect between ‘The Five People You Meet in Heaven’ to the Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey circus by responding to an article.




Thomas Jefferson is here today reading the Declaration of Independence to students and answering questions — an annual tradition designed by Mr. Olson for his AP U.S. History courses.

Spanish teachers, Mrs. Poulos and Mrs. Seidel, led a virtual breakout room to celebrate Mexico’s Independence Day today! Students worked together and researched key events and components of the holiday.





LWE juniors utilize their engineering skills for their first engineering challenge.




Honorary Captain Mary Beth Deady, 2020-2021 Teacher of the Year! Mrs. Deady is the Coordinator of Instructional Technology for LWE. She was recognized for her work while helping staff and students navigate through the remote and blended learning 2020-2021 school year.



When learning about clothing, Mrs. Johnson’s German 2 made traditional style hats and sang a traditional German song “Mein Hut der hat drei Ecken”.




The What’s For Dinner students in Mrs. Sabo’s class practiced their knife skills by making vegetable stir-fry.

Homecoming Olympic teams are due this Wednesday, Sept. 15th . Here are some pictures from our last 2019 and 2018 teams. Join us in the knight joust, wacky tricycles, basketball, tug of war and dodgeball games. Scan the QR codes to register your teams on our bulletin boards.


Mr. Harrah’s Psych of Mind students participated in an activity called T.H.E.M. Neurons....(Tree, Hunter, Elephant, Monkey) There were four neural sets the students had to master and try not to confuse.



Today, LWE’s social worker, Mr. Mark Davis, addresses our student body about suicide prevention month. “You are enough” is the message we want our students to walk away with. Mr. Davis provided tips on the signs of suicide and who students can talk to.
