The Warriors are taking on Sandburg with kickoff of the varsity game scheduled for 7:00 pm. You must have a digital ticket to attend. Disco Nights & Dazzling Lights 🪩 Class Colors filled LWW for today’s spirit day! Tomorrow’s spirit day is Friday Night Fever - 1970’s. The theme for tomorrow night’s football game is the same as our spirit day. Can’t wait to see The Westside take it back to the 1970’s tomorrow for the final day of our spirit week! #GetInvolved
Standing ovation today for our 2024 marching band at the assembly! These students were recognized for having the honor of representing Lincoln-Way West, and the state of Illinois in the 2025 Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California.
This is a huge honor, as only 20 bands were selected from around the world. Over 700,000 people will line the parade route, with another 50 million people viewing in more than 170 countries.
This will be the Lincoln-Way Bands fourth appearance in the Rose Parade, and with a parade theme “Best Day Ever!” it promises to be extremely memorable.
At today’s assembly, Drum Major Philip Steger presented Dr. Robbins with the official flag of the Tournament of Roses while Westly presented LWMB director Mr. Ruklic with a bouquet of roses.
Congratulations again to the Lincoln-Way Marching Band on this huge accomplishment, and make sure you tune in to the parade on January 1st! #LeadTheWay

Today, students attended the See Something, Say Something presentation that included suicide prevention during their advisory/lunch period. Students were also given resources and should contact their counselor if they have questions.

PSAT prep sessions started today with over 50 juniors in attendance! Mr. Barry from the math department presented on tips and test strategies to prepare our students for the upcoming PSAT on October 10. #LeadTheWay

Which class will win our 2024 Class Clash?! The Class Clash begins TODAY with our Out of Sight Disco Balls. If you find a disco ball hidden in the hallways of LWW, bring it to the Student Activities Office in order to
earn points for your class. Next up is our Good Vibes Toy Drive. September is Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month and we will be collecting toys for the Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation. Toys will be collected this Wednesday from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm in the Student Activities Office - B123A. Be sure to drop them off to Mrs. Novak in order to receive points for your class. The finale of the Class Clash will be during Thursday’s Homecoming assembly when representatives from each class will compete in a variety of 70’s themed competitions. The largest Olympics in school history led off our 2024 Homecoming week! A special thank you to the 100+ faculty members who made tonight possible for the 110 teams registered for the event. The dazzling light firework show provided by Student Council was an added highlight to our 1970’s week! #LeadTheWay

The Olympics are TONIGHT! Allow yourself plenty of time for parking and to get lined up with your team and faculty sponsor. Make sure you’ve reviewed the events with your team captain ahead of time.
The event will begin at 6:00 pm at the stadium. If you are a student volunteer for the event, please wear LWW spirit wear and meet Ms. Taylor at the scorer’s table at 5:45 pm.
Student Council will have Homecoming shirts on sale towards the beginning of the event. Shirts are $10 - cash only.
