Standing ovation today for our 2024 marching band at the assembly! These students were recognized for having the honor of representing Lincoln-Way West, and the state of Illinois in the 2025 Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California. This is a huge honor, as only 20 bands were selected from around the world. Over 700,000 people will line the parade route, with another 50 million people viewing in more than 170 countries. This will be the Lincoln-Way Bands fourth appearance in the Rose Parade, and with a parade theme “Best Day Ever!” it promises to be extremely memorable. At today’s assembly, Drum Major Philip Steger presented Dr. Robbins with the official flag of the Tournament of Roses while Westly presented LWMB director Mr. Ruklic with a bouquet of roses. Congratulations again to the Lincoln-Way Marching Band on this huge accomplishment, and make sure you tune in to the parade on January 1st! #LeadTheWay
